So I have been going through this ” minimalist phase”; hopefully it’s not a phase and I can make minimalism a lifestyle. I mostly been practicing wardrobe capsuling, which is making a mini wardrobe using versatile pieces that you completely love to wear and rotating from that wardrobe without adding or removing pieces. Wardrobe capsule can be done a million different ways, but what I’ve chose to do it pick out 12 pieces of clothing that I love to wear, put them on a clothing rack and choose only from that rack for about two weeks. Now, this is not something I plan on doing for a long time, I mainly wanted to see how creative I can be with less resources. I will be traveling in the next few weeks, having a wardrobe capsule will limit over packing ( which I always do ).
Considering the fact that I had to make two weeks worth of outfits out of 12 pieces of clothing, I found creative ways to reuse pieces without making it boring and without repeating the same outfits.
Capsules are not limited to simply wardrobe, you can create capsules in any aspects of your life that you feel need structure. I also use capsule in meal prepping, because I spent so much time figuring out what I want to eat day to day and so much money buying food. Planning weekly meals and limiting the amount I buy not only helps my finances, but reduce stress and limit time.
